Edwardian Tea Party
The Club's Centenary celebrations formally began on Sunday 23rd January with a return to a more genteel age. Following the planting of a Centenary rose, the Mayor & Mayoress of Gosport, Councillor and Mrs Roger Allen, joined the Club's President, the Centenary Committee, members and guests for an Edwardian Tea Party. With music from Classic Cool Duo gently playing in the background, more than 70 people were served with a delightful traditional tea worthy of the Ritz! Tiny sandwiches, mouthwatering scones, cakes and constant refills of tea were impeccably served by a team of staff and committee members and their two charming helpers, Amina Bailey (aged 9) and Rebecca House (aged 10).
