Universal Squash Camps started in 1986 at the Portsmouth Squash Club in Alexandra Park, Portsmouth, so they are coming up to 25 years old! Bryan Patterson is the Director of Universal Squash and has seen juniors from around the World attend these Camps. They still are “The Best Camps in the Universe” The Camps moved to the Lee-on-the-Solent Tennis and Squash Club in 1991 and have been held there since (other than three years at Chichester Tennis and Squash Club), and are a regular feature of the summer at Lee.
These Camps feature a Boot Camp which is an intense squash, fitness, and match play Camp with only 3:1 ratio of pupils to coach. The regular Camp involves individual squash skills, Beep Test and fitness, and match play assessments, with the emphasis in match play of playing the right shot at the right time. There is also the “Since '86” Junior Tournament on the second weekend of the Camps and on the first weekend a “Since '86” Doubles tournament. Both these tournaments attract top class players from around the country and abroad.
Lee Club families host the residents who attend these Camps and there are social activities on a number of evenings for the Campers.

Week 1: Residential 17-24th July. Non-residential 18-24th July. Since '86 Doubles Tourney 23rd July
Week 2: Residential 24-31st July. Non-residential 25-31st August. Since '86 Tourney 29-31st July.
Week 3: Residential 31-7th August. Non-residential 1-7th August.
