Gym Rules & Etiquette

Here at Lee on the Solent Tennis, Squash & Fitness Club we want everyone to enjoy their fitness experience. Please take the time to read these rules of etiquette while you work out.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

STRICTLY NO ACCESS to the Free Weights area to anyone under the age of 16.

Anyone aged 14-15 is to complete an induction for correct usage of the equipment.

CORRECT FORM ONLY

Be aware of your form & posture when lifting weights. Arrange an induction if you are unsure. Avoid injury.

STAY HYDRATED

Make sure you stay hydrated during your work out, especially during the warmer weather. Take breaks.

APPROPRIATE ATTIRE

Flip Flops & Slider footwear should not be worn when working out.

Please wear safe and appropriate work out clothing only.

KEEP THE GYM TIDY

Do not leave bags or clothing on the floor around machinery where they could be a trip hazard. Place coats & jackets on the hooks provided.

TAKING A CALL

Please be respectful to others if you have to make or take a phone call. Video calls should not be taken where other members can be seen. Privacy is important.

BE RESPECTFUL

Allow others to train, keep a respectful distance, be courteous of others.

LIFT OR LEAVE

Be respectful to other gym users, especially during peak times. Do not loiter on equipment if you are taking a rest.

WIPE DOWN

Clean all equipment & benches after use. Spray bottles and cloths are available throughout the gym. Wipes are available for touch screens.

THINK HYGIENE.

CAMERA USAGE

Photography & video is discouraged while in the gym. If absolutely necessary for a fitness diary it is essential that no other members are visible in your image or footage. Privacy is important.

RE-RACK WEIGHTS

when you are finished with your weights please place them back on the designated racks. Keeping the floor clear is essential and avoids trip hazards.
